Whitten Elementary
Hendersonville Morning Rotary Club presents a bike to a different Whitten student each month through the Wheels in Motion program.Below are pictures from the bicycle presentation in November 2007.

 

Hendersonville Medical Center
donated emergency kits to the school in fall of 2006 along with a monetary donation of $250. As Principal Appreciation, HMC presented principal Adam Cripps with 2 tickets to watch a Predators game from their box. Employees made a presentation to one of Whitten's science classes and sponsored a field trip school choir.

Pictured below are HMC former CEO Mike Esposito and HMC Chief of Staff Peter Smith, M.D. presenting a $500 check to late principal George Whitten in spring of 2005



First State Bank sponsored a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon for all the teachers at George Whitten Elementary School. Pictured are First State Bank's Glenbrook Branch Manager Paul Billingham, Guidance Counselor Janet Watkins, First State's Community Bank President Dan Hawkins, Kathy White from their main office in Goodlettsville, and Main Street Branch Manager Bruce Carter.



Chick-fil-A
in Glenbrook has taken their mascot, the Cow, to the school twice. First, the Cow was present on the 1st day of school to make the moment not so intimidating for students and parents. Owner/Operator Richard Luisi gave out toy cows to all the students, and supplied the faculty and staff with coupons, pens, and magnets. The Cow returned for their Partnership Ceremony and interacted with the students. Chick-fil-a also sponsors an aquarium at Whitten through Fishy Business.
