Nannie Berry Elementary

Back Yard Burgers had a spirit night for Nannie Berry. A portion of all proceeds from the evening went back to the school.

GreenBank
, Hendersonville Branch #112 located on Indian Lake Blvd. is Nannie Berry's newest Partner. Branch Manager Lisa Bain led a campaign entitled "Thinking Outside The Box" where she visited local businesses, usually within a few blocks of the school, and asked for a box of copy paper for the school. Most businesses were capable and happy to make this donation, and the copy paper collected kept Nannie Berry from dipping into school funds to cover this ordinary expense.

GreenBank tellers also cut and catalogue Campbell Soup labels during down time. This picture was taken at their partnership ceremony and includes Lisa Bain, Kara Arnold, Principal Kathy Kimble, and Sumner County Chancellor Tom Gray (who presided over the ceremony).

Representative Susan Lynn is sponsoring a Page Program for Nannie Berry students. Selected students get to visit Lynn at the Capitol each week and serve as her pages. Students also get to take a tour of the Capitol and are given certificates to commemorate their visit. This picture was taken at their partnership ceremony with Sumner County Clerk Bill Kemp presiding.

Bone McAllester Norton is partnered with Nannie Berry Elementary. Partnership coordinator (and COMPASS Board Member) Marty Cook does what he can to meet whatever needs Nannie Berry Principal Dr. Kathy Kimble expresses to him. This year attorneys from both their Hendersonville office and Nashville office visited the school twice a week to tutor students. The firm also provided all the supplies necessary for every classroom to have an Emergency Supply Kit, including batteries, hand sanitizer, water, granola bars, etc.

At the end of the 2005-2006 school year Bone McAllester Norton had awards printed for Nannie Berry's end-of-the-year Awards Ceremony.

Nannie Berry students said 'Thank You' to their wonderful Partner by making them Christmas cards.

Quebecor World
A group of 4th and 5th graders visited the Quebecor World printing plant in Clarksville in January 2005 and had the opportunity to see the magazine “Highlights” go through all the printing stages. Students also got to take a copy home with them.
