Merrol Hyde Magnet
GreenBank on New Shackle Island Rd. has partnered with the magnet school this year. So far they have delivered goodie bags filled with supplies and treats to all the teachers, donated a carton of copy paper to the school, and have set up a bulletin board in their lobby that displays artwork or essays from MHM students. The bank has also set up an agreement with the school to notarize documents whenever teachers need the service. Below are pictures from the "welcome back" breakfast the bank sponsored for the teachers after winter break.

The GreenBank mascot, Buckley the Pig, visited the school for their partnership ceremony. Pictured below with Buckley are (L to R) 11th grade student Jackson Miller, 1st grader David Withrow, Principal Brad Schreiner, Branch Manager Sharon Scruggs, COMPASS Director Kara Arnold, Kindergartner Caitlin LaPointe, and 7th grade student Jordan Boyd.

The first display at GreenBank featured the writings of Merrol Hyde's talented 3rd graders. Students wrote essays on what they would do if they had $100. Answers ranged from buying a hamster to paying someone to clean their room to saving up for bigger items like a GameBoy or an R.V. to take a cross-country trip in.

Hendersonville Medical Center
is a proud Partner of Merrol Hyde Magnet. For the 2006-2007 school year the hospital donated emergency kits along with a monetary donation of $250. As Principal Appreciation, HMC presented principal Brad Schreiner with 2 tickets to watch a Predators game from their box. Employees from HMC also made a presentation to one of Merrol Hyde's science classes and the hospital sponsored a field trip for the 2nd grade.
