Hendersonville Morning Rotary Club donates a book to the Brown Elementary Library in honor of their speaker every week.
Club members serve as tutors, mentors, and Junior Achievement presenters. Club members also collect food at Thanksgiving and bring presents at Christmas for Gene Brown families in need. The club presents a different student with a new bike every month through the Wheels in Motion program.
And in March, to promote nicycle safety, the club donated bike helmets to several Gene Brown students.

Representative Debra Young Maggart is sponsoring a Page Program for Brown Elementary students for the second year. Students are selected to participate in the program based on exemplary behavior, grades, and good attendance. Three students visit each Thursday, alternating grades each week. Students take a tour of the Capitol and are given certificates to commemorate their visit. Rep. Maggart is pictured here with several of the students who have already visited and some who are scheduled to visit this spring. Also pictured is guidance counselor Terri Hinton.

Publix Stores collected "Tools for Schools" again this year. The stores in Hendersonville, Gallatin, and Goodlettsville collected more than $2,400 in school supplies that were then donated to Brown, Guild, and Millersville elementary schools. Pictured below are Principal Doug Binkley, Hendersonville Store Manager Matt Corcoran, and Guidance Counselor Terri Hinton.
