School Improvement Awards

Since the 2000-2001 school year, the Hendersonville Chamber Foundation has donated approximately $152,525 to support teachers through the School Improvement Awards. The Hendersonville Chamber Foundation believes that by supporting teachers and their extraordinary classroom projects, the result will be inspired children with an enhanced desire to learn.

Aegis Sciences Corporation joined the Hendersonville Chamber Foundation's efforts in 2008, helping to fund the $2,500 awards that focused on exceptional programs in the areas of science.  In addition, the Hendersonville Utility District funded a $2,500 cooperative award.

COMPASS is proud to support K-12 schools through the monies provided by the Hendersonville Chamber Foundation. The School Improvement Awards are another venue for COMPASS to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encourage educational achievement.
