Sumner Regional Health Systems is a Partner with Vena Stuart Elementary. SRHS has been extremely involved in activities at VSE including:
- Securing a donated marquis sign for the school.
- Donating 15-20 gallons of chili for VSE's annual chili supper.
- Designing and printing student handbooks in English and Spanish for the 2005-2006 school year.
- SRHS graphic artist designing new logo for the school (can be seen on their new marquis!).
- Hosting Christmas card art contest for VSE students, selected 5 winners, used their art on Christmas cards, and had a set of 25 printed for each student's family.
- Hosting a poster and art contest in honor of National Doctor's Day. Phrases from the essays and portions of the artwork were used in SRHS Doctor's Day ads that were printed in 6 local papers across 4 counties.
- Hosting a breakfast event to celebrate Nurse's Day, where 6 SRMC nurses had breakfast with selected students, who in turn read to the nurses.
- 12 SRMC associates mentoring students weekly throughout the 2005-2006 school year.
- Providing decorations and desserts for the VSE Teacher Appreciation luncheon.
- The SRMC mascot, Archie, attending the VSE "Million Minute Read" program and passing out bookmarks to all the students.
- Providing bottled water to students on Field Day.
- Placing clear gallon jugs throughout the hospital in support of VSE's annual Penny Drive fundraiser.
- Awarding the "Sumner Regional Medical Center Super Science Award" to an outstanding science student each 6 weeks.
SRHS Marketing Director Angela Alexander is pictured with VSE PTO President Ayesha Sircy, TN Commissioner of Education Lana Seivers, and VSE art teacher Lori Davis at the COMPASS Art & Jazz Soiree in May. Commissioner Seivers was the Keynote speaker and Sircy and Davis gave a presentation on the model Partnership between SRHS and VSE.

The winners of the SRHS Christmas card art contest (pictured with Administrator Bruce James). A set of 25 cards, with these students artwork on the front, was given to each VSE student's family.
