Science teachers in middle and high schools that serve children of Sumner County are eligible to apply for a summer internship with Aegis Sciences Corporation. Aegis Sciences Corporation is a forensic reference laboratory located in Nashville, TN. They provide toxicology and consulting services to sports organizations, medical examiner systems, crime laboratories, physicians, corporations and other organizations throughout the United States and the world. Aegis uses state of the art screening technology that is superior to other laboratories and on-site testing devices.

Aegis Sciences Corporation is experienced in offering training opportunities to highly qualified and motivated graduates of science programs. They provide interns with a modern research experience employing both basic and advanced scientific techniques to address questions related to Forensic Toxicology. Selected interns will also benefit Aegis through the training and energy of participating in this program. Aegis Sciences Corporation strives to select interns who exhibit the greatest potential for achieving common goals.

Once all applications have been received and reviewed, telephonic and on-site interviews may be scheduled for the best qualified applicants. Aegis will outline a schedule for the summer internship with accepted applicants. The internship includes a stipend, which will be discussed with applicants during the interviewing process.
