Mark your calendars for an exciting special event to promote and benefit education in Sumner County on Monday, August 30th.
The COMPASS board is hosting a series of fundraising events and our second one is August 30th.
We are delighted to present to you our U.S. Senator Bob Corker this year. Doors open at 11:15 am and lunch begins at 11:30 am at First Baptist Church Hendersonville, 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd. Reserve a table or seat now and benefit our Sumner County students and COMPASS.
Senator Corker will speak to us about the state of our country and the importance of education.
If your schedule prevents you from attending, please consider making a contribution or buying a ticket for a family member or friend.

COMPASS stands for Community Outreach Making Partnerships At Sumner Schools
Our MISSION at COMPASS is to promote student success by developing partnerships between the business community and Sumner County Schools.
We realize our mission by focusing on the following goals:
- Provide money, materials, volunteer time & talent to augment the curriculum and resources of Sumner County Schools and to assist educators in improving student success
- Assess and compile the individual needs of each school and seek out complimenting community resources
- Support the Sumner County Schools' mission to "provide a safe environment in which all students will be given challenging learning opportunities to foster responsible, productive, and respectful citizens for a changing world"
- Improve the quality of life in our community by increasing and strengthening school-community connections, providing volunteer opportunities, and supporting teachers, families and students
